I am building a new system for a friend:
Asus B85M-E/CSM
Intel Haswell i5
Viper 8gb single stick of DDR 1600
Samsung SSD 250gb

I just want to use the on board video, but when I turn power on, there is no video from HDMI, DVI, or VGA. Fans all come on, power to the mobo seems fine. This is my first time with Haswell and using on board video. What am I missing? Should video be available to the connectors?

I have used my other machines to check the monitor, it is working.

Thanks!

Note: onboard video will work if no PCIEx videocard inserted.
If you have no problems with PCIEx videocard, but have problems with onboard videocard - it can be 2 ways:
1. Your CPU have no onboard video (or bad)
2. Your bios is bad, need to reflash (mainly in service centers, reflashing with programmers)
