I just had my motherboard take a dump on me yesterday, (bios flash gone bad, Tul mainboard, even tho it was downloaded , both the rom and the flash util from thier site , ) anyway, i have been waiting to save enough money to buy a good asus mainboard with some 667 ddr2 and the pentium d 805 with the zalman cooler. However now i need something and only have about 200 bucks to spend at this time instead of the 400 i planned on spending in the future. What do you think of this combination , considering i can add the DDR two to it later and i have the ddr now to get myself started plus i can add the Zalman later also

what do you guys think of that board

I'd skip the DDR2 and the VIA chipset and go with this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813128296.
You're not likely to discern the slight improvement that you'd get from the DDR2.

So true dude ddr2 is only a memory execption error generater, Dude if you are planning on the 805 get a good cooling system it runs real hot specially with games.

Well Its a little late i decided to spend a bit more and Got the Asus P5LD2 , 1 gig of pqi turbo ddr2 and the pentium 805 D
hopefully that will be a better buy that going cheap
