ASUS bios updating H170-PLUS D3 (help)

well late last night i was trying to install Grand Theft Auto 4 because iv been meaning to play it but then i discovered the error 8016 with securom and apparently i need to update my bios BUT... it wont work iv tried the usb install. WINFLASH (which i found out only works for notebooks) and iv also tried it over the web in the bios but nothings working ! any help!

Does your motherboard have a cmos button? check the specs on the box.
From other research it appears that this is a skylake specific error related to updating the bios.
If you can't get it to update, contact Asus and see what they can do for you.

no my mother board does not have a cmos button il proberly have to contact them because i cant get it to work.

The chipset is just a categorization for what features it has and what architecture it supports......

Didn't think of that.
This ^^ older games might have minimal or no support for windows 10 and therefore not run very well if at all.

im using windows 10 and apparently windows 10 does not support games with securom! so yay i guess!

go to steam or the game developer/publisher website to see if they have a work around or not for old title like these.

sorry guys for the very late answer i fixed it but forgot to post on this thread! my fault all i had to do was update my bios on a usb stick!
