[SOLVED] ASUS BluRay burner "not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match"

Hiya people!

[NOTE: I'm posting this here not knowing whether my issue comes from the hardware side or not — although I strongly suspect not anyway]

I just purchased one brand new ASUS Bluray Disc burner (BC-12D2HT). Installation (both physical and system/drivers) went smoothly, or so it seemed at first: no error messages were displayed at any point during the whole process, and I successfuly tested the device by reading a BluRay disc via VLC. I then proceeded to burn a regular DVD disc, which went fine too (the resulting disc being readable and all).

I only realised something was amiss when launching Adobe Premiere: the soft won't even recognize the BD drive and thus claims there's no BluRay drive installed!
The issue was then confirmed under Nero, which refuses to even erase a BD-RE (rewritable disc) I had previously burned with a former BD drive.

Finally, when having a look into the Device Manager, the general properties of the drive report that everything's ok, but under the Events tab I found the error message of my post title (ie. "The device SCSI\CdRom&Ven_ASUS&Prod_BC-12D2HT\4&4dda929&0&050000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match").

To sum it all up, at this point I can read/burn CDs and DVDs, and READ BluRays, but not burn them...
I of course tried various combinations of uninstalling/reinstalling both the device and its drivers, to no avail.
I'm now all out of ideas, hence my posting here with hope that some people here more tech-savvy than I might have at least suggestions or workarounds for that particular problem.

Any help will needless to say be VERY appreciated, and I thank you all in advance for it!
Cheers,
-- Louis
