Hi,

I came back to my PC running with a code 00. I realize this means CPU issue.

I would appreciate help with debugging - I have a WC system so it will be a hassle to reseat the CPU but obviously happy to do what’s necessary but if there is anything to try before I’d appreciate it.

System Specs. I recently had a PSU problem that was solved with a new PSU. PC worked for a week before this latest issue.

nb: I realize my memory is 5+ years old, my CPU is pretty old (at least 4 years old) and my Motherboard is 4 years old so maybe… yeah.

One other thing - when I click the power on button the Mobo is at “00”. No boot attempt or anything, just “00” so I wonder if the Mobo is just fried

I had exactly the same problem a few weeks back and like you I thought it was either the board [ ASUS Rampage 5 v10] or the cpu [ Broadwell 6850 k ] so in my haste I managed to get one of the very few new 6850K's left. turned out to be the psu that was faulty. so now have a spare 6850k [ new ] so got a New Corsair 1000w and running great again.
