What drivers do you need? I think most drivers are including in the win8. If they are not, you can go to company website to get them.
Like the NEC® USB 3.0 controller, http://www.drivers-download.com/en/downloadlist.php?id=90

AMD does not have any chipset drivers.
That would be ideal, but when I try to install the ai suite 2 pakage as you mentioned, or the ai suite 1 for my board, I get a model not supported error.
I see. You can find the other model that has the win8 driver and get whatever you need as long as they are for the ASUS MB. Like the AI suite 2 check the link and try it. http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/#support_Download_36
Hi ! I just installed the Windows 8 Professional 64 bit. First i tried to make a new install - windows freezes every 20 seconds, runs 20 seconds and freezes again. Then i tried to install over Win 7 64 bit - with all the MB drivers installed - same result.
I cant find the drivers for Crosshair Formua IV and win 8.
Can you tell what causes this ?
Its a 6 core AMD processor and plenty of RAM - so power is not the issue.
When I still had this motherboard, I contacted asus many time, and talked to different departments, and people in higher positions then usually are in the phone to most consumers. I was told that win 8 support would be coming to the crosshair iv, but they couldn't tell me a time frame. I have yet to see any improvement on windows 8 drivers for the CHIV, so if I were you I would either move down to windows 7, or pickup a Crosshiar V formula or Crosshair V Foumla -z on ebay. I got a Crosshair V formula -z on ebay, new for $100 plus shipping. But in my experiance you can't go wrong with used. All of my four mobos prior to the CHVZ were used. The first one was an Abit IP35V, which overclocked ram like no other. My next, also used was a ASUS P5E, that I flashed with the Rampage Formula BIOS so get better overclocking. My third board was an ASUS Crosshair IV Formula motherboard. ALL OF THESE BOARDS NEVER FAILED ME, even through rough over clocking on an old intel core 2 duo e6400 that was very voltage hungry, and generated a sh*t load of heat. I never experianced any problems with used components, so I can honestly say that used is good. Also, after you get a "new" motherboard you can sell your old one on ebay to some sucker and make more money then you spent on the "new" motherboard and kind of get payed to upgrade.
