Asus deluxe X99 momentaneous q_code 00

Hi guys,

Yestarday I finished to install my new asus X99 deluxe mother board and it worked well all night. The thing is that this morning when I switched on the computer It got stucked in the booting procedure without activating USBs giving q_code error 00.

I restarted the computer and It gave me an overclock failure error (I don't remember overclocking the computer last night). I loaded default settings at BIOS and it have been working normally all day.

I read that it can be a problem of over tightening the cpu block screws. I tighted it to the limit but no with a super natural force.

Should I be worried? should I loosen a little bit the screws? Or an error 00 can happen with a bad bios configuration?

Hi, Try clearing the CMOS and restarting with BIOS set to default. See if still getting the error message at restart. It would be also good to update the BIOS, if newer version available.

Hey Alexoiu. I never had the issue again. It must have been some kind of weird issue. The fact is that the mobo was a little bit new and I was kind of paranoid. I have updated with the latest BIOS and I had no problems so far. Apart that I am not able to activate my XPMS profile for the RAM.
