So I have been wondering about something. I have a DUAL-GTX1060-O6G from ASUS. With it being an NVIDIA card in some way could I install the more current drivers being released from NVIDIA's website or only use the drivers from ASUS's website. NVIDIA has version for the 1060 at 416.16 right now and the one on ASUS is 398.36. Just want to know will it hurt to use the drivers from NVIDIA on ASUS's card. I had an issue where I couldnt update the card or revert any drivers on it, forcing me to reinstall windows earlier. Just wondering if previously using the drivers from NVIDIA was the problem.
UPDATE: Also using GeForce Experience, it tells me there are updates available for the driver on the card, those being the current NVIDIA one at 416.16. The problem before was it would fail installation every single time.

Solution
Nvidia is provider for drivers of all brands of their GPU lines, you should not worry about that, thats why you download from Nvidia since its Nvidia card (vice versa for AMD), if Nvidia provides GPU to asus they are aftermarket cards with better cooling than standard nvidia cards (Blower style).
Only thing that you can download specific brand of your GPU on specific site of that brand is either LED control or another software that cannot be used with another card.
