I'm installing a memory upgrade to an asus eee pc 1015
I purchased a
G.SKILL 4GB 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model F3-1333C9S-4GSL
newegg link here- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231691
I was told the 2 gig would be a fine upgrade but for the price difference I just went with a 4gb. I started the computer with the one gb stick in there and it runs fine. I put the 4gb stick in there and upon start up it is just a black screen. I can take the 4gb stick out and put the original back in and it works just fine.
Am I missing something? I am far from an expert but I generally know enough to get around and make things work. This is the first time I've ever really worked on a laptop though.
