Hello guys, i recently bought an Asus EeeBox PC EB1033. I wanted the newset OS (Windows 8). I heard many say, it is more light and good for small computers. I bought the non os version of the computer, and bought Windows 8 pro 64-bit to it. I installed everything and i installed drivers from their support site "http://www.asus.com/Eee_Box_PCs/EeeBox_PC_EB1033/#support"
I choosed to show drivers for Windows 7 64-bit because there was no for Windows 8. The drivers installed fine. And seems to work fine.
But the problem is the computer runs very slow, anything other is perfect. Most when im using browser everything laggs. And i always have one chrome tab with radio enabled, and the sound just laggs like crazy, also when i just want to open something in Windows or open a second tab and enter a site. When i look at the task manager, then CPU shows almost from 80-99% when im loading a site, the CPU is so utilized. I have a phone with only 1 core cpu and it runs better than this. This pc has 2/4 cores. I know this is not normal.
The only things i thinked about, that was maybe the GPU driver. When im entering nvidia site and choosing Geforce 610M drivers for Windows 8, then it shows a much newer version then, that there is on asus´s support site.
This guy also have a eee box but "EB1503" But it almost has the same specs. And it runs perfect as you see, and he has Windows 7 on it?
