Take the video lead from the Pci-e based graphics card.
Connect the monitor cable to the video ports of the motherboard.
Enter the bios of the motherboard.
Change the primary graphics port to initialize first in the bios menu to Pci-e or Peg mode.
Save the settings in the bios before you exit it.
Then swap the cable from the back of the motherboard to the pci-e based graphics card, and one of it`s video output ports on that card.
Restart your system and your problem is fixed.
When ever you perform or do a bios firmware upgrade of your bios of the motherboard.
The bios after the flashing process is always reset back to factory defaults.
Factory default mode of the bios, always returns back to the on board video solution of the motherboard.
So because you have a Pci-e based graphics card it is why you got a black screen on the next restart of the system.
Untill you changed the primary graphics interface back to initializing the pci-e graphics port of the motherboard first.
