I'm planning to build a water cooling system using the asus maximus viii gene motherboard wich has the dip5 including fan xpert 3. so my question is can i select gpu as source for a fan so that the fanspeed is based on the temp of the gpu? And is a 360 19fpi rad push and pull 2200rpm enough for 6700k and 980ti? Or is sth like the Accelero Xtreme IV from arctic better?

Regarding the fan yes you can though the way I recall t you'll need a temperature probe connected to the motherboard and the GPU which will register on Asus's Ai Suite. Regarding the watercooling question, higher FPI rads tend to ask for high RPM high static pressured fans while a single 120mm rad space for each heat output device is usually suggested but a TDP calc should help you narrow down or expand on that answer. IMO you'll find the best answer by going through the watercooling sticky.
