Asus fan-xpert

Hello,
so i got my new build up and running..fan-expert {p9x79pro} controls the speed for all fans except CPU fan, fans are 3 wire,,all fans work with fan-expert,except when plugged into cpu-fan connector,,is this due to it only being a 3 pin fan and not a 4 pin fan...thanks for info,,i read this somewhere but would like a correct answer

Yup, that is the reason. You'd need a 4 wire fan to get the speeds under control using the software that Asus provides.

then, its only the cpu-fan, that needs a 4 pin connector for fan-expert to work....

because i can control all other fans with fan-expert and they are 3 wire also..
