Asus Fonepad 7 touch screen not responding.

I have a weird problem with my ASUS fonepad 7 tablet. i can start it normally and use the power button as well as volume up/down button but for some reason the touch screen doesn't seem to work.

I can't even open the lock. i know the device is working because i can see notifications and MBAM doing boot up scans but the touch screen isn't working.

Things i've tried:
restarting tablet by holding down the power button.

restarting tablet using a paperclip (reset button next to micro sim slot)

Note:
I didn't break the screen and i'm pretty sure water did never actually touch the screen or any part of the tablet.

What do you suggest me to do?

Never mind i fixed it. If someone is having the same problem just take out your micro sim/micro sd memory card and put them back in while the device is off. then turn it back on and it should work.
