I brought an ASUS VZ249H frameless 24" IPS LCD monitor yesterday. After setting it up and using it for a bit after adjusting the brightness, contrast, etc to my preferred values I noticed that when on a full white background like chrome or computer window, the bottom right corner of the display seemed a bit bent inward inside the display when looking at the monitor from an angle.(I'll attach a picture below for a clear reference). This is not visible at all on the desktop wallpaper, game or in any other program. Just in full white backgrounds.
So I called the shop and that guy said that this is quite common in frame-less monitors & that I had nothing to worry. Is this true? because I feel a bit worried after seeing this since this is a brand new monitor.

Should I let this go or should I ask for a replacement? I really appreciate if you all can help me on this. Thank you.

My thoughts as well. every time I see it I feel worried.

What I also wanna know is whether this kind of thing is frequent in IPS LCD Displays. The retailer said that this happens a lot in frameless displays, but I don't think that's the case. This looks like a manufacturing fault to me. What do you think?

btw thanks for the reply. appreciate it :)

I doubt its a "problem with a lot of frameless displays" I think they may just be trying to change your mind from returning it, did you buy it directly from amazon/newegg/asus?

Oh no I'm not living in the US. But I did buy from an authorized asus reseller in my country.

I think you're right . They maybe just trying to save them the trouble. They also said that if I return it, there's a chance that I might get the same monitor back as it's not 'defective' and they assured me that if in any way it becomes defective, they'll replace it. I guess I'll have to wait and see.

thanks for the reply .. again :)
