I'm choosing between these two identically priced laptops. I'm planning to use it for heavy computing tasks, hence the i7 and the 16 GB RAM, but occassionally do some gaming on it (I'm fine with 1080p med-max settings). I want it to last for the next 4-5 years.
MSI
+Beefier GPU (GTX 970M w/6GB GDDR5 vs GTX 960M w/4GB GDDR5)
+More storage (128 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD vs 512 GB SSD)
+Slightly lighter (4.2 vs 4.5 lbs)
+Built-in Ethernet port
+Separate Mic/Headphones Jack
Asus
+Twice the rated battery life (6 vs 3 hrs) (Even with the 4K Display)
+4K Display
+Much faster storage (I believe I won't need more than the 512 GB).
+Slightly better CPU (4720-HQ vs 4710-HQ)
+Comes with included headset and mouse
What do you guys think? I'm mainly between the battery life and the GPU. Also if you've got another suggestion I'd like to hear it. (Not the Blade, that thing is absurdly expensive). I know there's the almost identical Asus Zenbook UX501, but the 2 GB VRAM is a deal-breaker.
