Asus G750 normal CPU running temps

I just purchased a refurbished Asus g750js-ds71 and my average CPU temp is about 65C but then under a load it has spiked to around 99C. My 870 is fine its normal temp is about 35 then peaks at about 75 which is what i expect. My Asus G74 runs at about 45C. I feel like 65 and 99 pretty hot should I return it for another?

That's a bit higher temp than the avg under a load.
I had to reinsert my heatsink better fit to the CPU and worked perfectly fine for me.

Whenever you take out the heatsink tho, make sure to re-apply thermal paste.(recommended)

Just know that CPU overheating is your least worries when it's compared to other hardware over heating.
CPU just never dies even under the overheating condition.

What kind of laptop do you have?

I recommend getting another one by exchange.

The Core you have i7 4700HQ 's max Temp is 100 C.

Just get exchange.
