Question Asus g75vw upgrade 670m to 7970m

Got this nice laptop on eBay for 200 dollars recently, I have a 7970m which is alot smaller than the 670m 3gb but appears to be the same mxm, I don't have the 7970m vrm heatsink but it worked fine last time with just paste + the 120mm fan I modded into the other system it was in. Anyone else done the same thing? This laptop with a 3840qm or 3940xm plus 7970m would be badass

I have a ton of spare vrm heatsinks from old mobos, asus prime am4 board comes to mind, maybe I'll slap them on
