ASUS Gaming Laptop Not Working As Before

So, I have this ROG G750JM since 2014, and it started having some trouble running games for some months now.
I have installed and uninstalled many games, applications and also moved a lot of data through it. As it is my main computer, I use it to all kinds of things, from web browsing to gaming and video and image editing.
Just a month from now, I noticed a big performance loss, and my programs and games were not able to recognize my graphics card properly. My build is an i7 4710-HQ and a GTX 860M with 12GB of RAM, running Windows 10 64-bit, and the laptop used to have Asus GPUTweak pre-installed, which stopped working along with the recognition problems.
Because of that, I did a Windows restore (while keeping my personal files) and reinstalled some of my stuff, but it still seems like perfomance loss is there, with some unusual frame drops on games I used to run smoothly. What can I do to have my baby back?
I've tried Asus GPUTweak II and MSI Afterburner, but they didn't seem to work, as there was no notorious change on fan speed or performance with these programs running.

UPDATE: After performing full virus and malware scans, I found nothing. What I now think could be happening is I don't have the required drivers and BIOS anymore, therefore I'm not able to do overclocking. The fans are probably not working properly due to the lack of some of these. I'll try to reinstall everything this weekend and update the forum as soon as everything works out or doesn't. In all the things you say you have done, you didn't mention running some good deep virus checks and malware checks on the computer. That restore you chose with keeping files would not have wiped anything like that.

Also, you may want to check in the "System Configuration". Go to "Start" and in the search box type "msconfig" (without the quotes). Then click on the "Startup" tab and make sure there is nothing auto starting when the system loads that you don't need to be starting and running automatically. Many programs will set themselves up to start that way, when they don't always need to. Just be very careful not to turn off the auto start to anything you don't know. Always check (and double check) what a program is for and does before messing with it. Otherwise you can do a lot of damage.

Thank you for the reply! I will try that and report back ASAP. But one thing I noticed is that once I plugged in the computer in an outlet and started a game, there was an Overclock happening, and the fans would be very loud (not a problem for me, though). This doesn't seem to happen anymore, even though I downloaded GPU Tweak and installed it again. What can I do to solve this problem as well?

The fans could be due to the program, or the fans could be due to some overheating. You may want to monitor the temps for the device and see if the fan speed changes when it goes much higher, or if it is just changing without a need for it.
