[SOLVED] Asus Geforce Gt 710 2Gb LP High Temps on Idle

Hello to all,

Upon installing the above graphics card, I have noticed really high temps while in use. The card will reach 65 degrees c just viewing the desktop extended across 3 displays and 72 degrees c watching you tube. The room temp is 23 degrees c and its installed in a full tower with plenty of airflow. I am aware that the card will be fine up to 95 degrees c, but looking for a second opinion.

The card is new so I would assume the thermal paste shouldn't be an issue, I also have a full height passive card installed in my htpc the gt 1030 and even under load watching 4k content it doesn't even reach 50 degrees c and that is in a much smaller case.

if any one can offer some advise as to whether I should be concerned.

GT1030 is also stressed much less while doing that work.

70s is not concerning.

Is it silent model (without any fans). If yes, then these models get rather toasty. Extremely good case ventilation is necessary.

Install additional cooler right next to the card.

Thanks for you input guys, it is the silent version with just the passive heat sink. I am counting on the silent feature of this card so would rather avoid additional cooling.
