ASUS GL502VM-FY292 RAM and HDD

Hey Guys!

I am about to buy a ASUS GL502VM-FY292 Laptop from this site: https://www.alternate.ch/html/product/1326513

But the specs are a little false on the website, like i know i could expand the RAM, put in a SATA drive, etc.

Also this is the new version with the Kaby Lake i7 already installed.

I already found out that i can expand the RAM via the additional slot, but here comes the thing: There is so many different infos around, that i would like to know:


Can i install 8GB DDR4 2400 or do i need 2133? And is my max. RAM 16GB or 24GB?

I was thinking of getting a "Crucial SO-DIMM 8 GB DDR4-2400", is it a good Brand?


And if i would install a SATA Drive, does it really matter much if i take the 5400RPM or 7200RPM in terms of Battery usage and Speed?

And does it make a difference in Battery Usage, if its a 512GB or a 1TB Drive?

Crucial does not just list a GL502VM on the site, there is one more letter after that model there.

A 5400 rpm drive would have less battery use but will be slower than a 7200rpm drive. Size does not matter.
