Question ASUS GL504GM-DS74 ROG Strix -OR- MSI GE63

The specs on these two laptops seem almost identical except for the refresh rate on the ASUS model, but then it's $100 more for the sales prices I found. Since I do not need the higher refresh rate they are equal to me in specs. I need the machine for photo editing and thus need a fairly good graphics card and processor. These two machines stuck out when I went looking.

What I cannot evaluate since I have not been looking for laptops in the market for many years is how might these two mfgs compare in build quality and service reputation?

Both are the same in terms of quality and service/warranty/replacements. I would ask you to look at the Asus.

I agree MSI and ASUS are both known good brands quality wise and their reps are very helpful if you ever have an issue.
Either is fine but of you dont need the higher hz screen, i would go for the cheaper one.
