Asus gl553ve charger fried!

My adapter is working thank god but i am using an hp laptops 3pin charger plug. Is that ok?

For some reason while playing my laptop stoped charging, then i swapped the detachable chaging cable that connects to 120w ac adapter with and old hp one.

Currently im using the asus provided adapter but the conndction cable to the adapter (that 3pin plug head with cable) is not asus provided.

Are you talking about the actual power cable that goes to the wall? Brand of that does not matter if it is the right connection to the charger.
