I've got an ASUS GL702VM with an original 128GB SATA M.2 (boot drive) and a 1TB S3 HDD. The 128GB is way too small and causing me all kinds of problems. As I have learned by opening up the case and confirming on the internet, the manual is incorrect and there are NOT 2 M.2 slots on the MB. I know I can replace the 1TB drive with a SSD, clone the 128GB drive to the new Sata III SSD and use that as the boot drive. I would optimally like to replace the M.2 drive with an NVME 1TB M.2 and just keep the HDD. Is there a strategy for the 2nd scenario without a clean install? It's not like I got Win10 disks with the purchase of the Asus ROG laptop. A third strategy could also be that I clone the 128MB Sata III M.2 over to a 1TB SDD, then clone it back to a 1 TB NVME M.2 and have 2 solid state drives, but the cost is much higher.
I would like to know how to do the 2nd scenario, and if the third is even possible (multiple clones). Currently my 1 TB drive has nothing much on it, and my 128 GB drive is nearly full with Win10 and WoW.
Thanks!
