Asus GPU Tweak II

Hi everyone, when I bought my NVidia graphics card it came with a software called Asus GPU Tweak II, but I'm concerned. I tried it only on Gaming Mode (I was worried about using the OC Overclock mode, I've heard overclocking can damage a graphics card) and in theory it shuts down all unnecessary programs and I did notice higher frame rate. My question is: can using Asus GPU Tweak II on Gaming Mode (not OC mode) damage the graphics card in any way or capacity?
Thank you in advance!

No it will not damage it as long as you don't game with the GPU fans not running. By default, the GPU fans run all the time with or without the software. Also, you're not required to exclusively use GPU Tweak to control your GPU so you can uninstall it if you want. MSI Afterburner is a popular one to use since it also has an in game monitoring display of your clocks, voltages, fan speed, fps, etc.

The OC mode is the factory stable OC of that specific model and you can definitely go higher with a bit a tweaking granted you have adequate cooling, air flow, and low ambient room temperature.

The higher the voltages are the higher the overclock potential, but so does your GPU temps which results in raising your cooling/fan speeds faster.

Temperatures that exceed the maximum threshold the manufacturer state may reduce the overall performance/lifespan of your GPU.
