Hi all,
I just put together a new system with the following:

  • MB:Asus ROG Strix X99
    CPU: I 7 6800 3.4 Ghz LGA 2011-3
GPU: Asus ROG Strix 1070 OC
    RAM: G.SKILL TridentZ DDR4 3333
    PSU: Corsair HX 1000i 1000W
So when I tried to boot up I get a D6 Q code from the MB, it means non VGA installed pretty much, then I tried to swap and use my old AMD 5870 and it boots. I used a DVI connector since I don't have an HDMI monitor. Unfortunately I can't try the new 1070 on my old PC because it has a water-block, but the LED under the 8 pin power connector lights up in white color when it's plugged and in red color when the connector is unplugged. I also check the voltage coming from the PSU with a multimeter and it's ok, I'm afraid that for some reason the GPU might have been fried even if I've been very careful with the installation. I always use ESD wrist strap and ESD shoes over ESD mat! Anybody with the same problem? Is there any way to troubleshoot the card and see if it's fried?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
