ASUS GTX 1080 STRIX not working

Just purchased a new GPU (Asus Gtx 1080 Strix) and installed it into my system, after installing the drivers necessary. It just wont start up, the LEDs on the card light up, as well as fans and HDD start spinning, but nothing appears on the screen. With the old GPU (Gigabyte RX 470 G1) it works just fine.

EDIT: When I push the power button to turn the system on, all the fans and such power up, sounding like the system is starting but then stop about 5-10 seconds after, and only fans are kept running then.

System:
Ryzen 5 1600
Asus Prime X370-PRO
16GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
700W PSU

Enermax Revobron 700W Semi-Modular, was connected with a single cable, tried with 2 separate ones, did not help the issue.

Well here is stupid question, did you plugged into gpu, used any adapters like dvi to vga, plugged monitor into motherboard?
Which monitor model/brand?
Have you tried TV via HDMI (if you can)?
Note. Gpu has to be plugged into video source (tv, monitor, etc.) before starting pc, that happened to me twice and gpu wouldnt initialize in my case.

Have you tried clearing cmos?

I have 2 monitors: 24" BenQ 24GL2450 via HDMI and 27" Samsung 27FG70 via Displayport. No adapters used, just straight cables. Tried with both monitors separately, both into the MB and the GPU, still nothing.

Edit: also tried resetting CMOS, still nothing.

Cant really access a second pc, but since my old card works fine in my current system I doubt it has anything to do with my current build. Bios update did nothing to help, off to RMA this card then, thank you very, very much for helping me though!
