so before i ordered the asus strix 1080 non ti ,, i found the 1080ti evga sc for 150$ more witch i will gladly take
so is the sc model bad ? i dont want to risk anything because i wont be able to return or use the card warranty
if so should i just stick with the 1080 ?
note : i wont get an SSD for now to afford the 1080ti

GTX 1080 ti is significantly better than GTX 1080.
Ti model should cost ~$300 more than non ti model. You're probably getting really bad price on Asus Strix 1080.

Both have 2 fans, and a blower based.

Beast card, with the fans off idles at 40~35 degrees. MSI has beast coolers usually.

With the regular 1080s, go with the one with the faster boost clock, as those usually have the better cooling, but as far as air cooling goes in general, they are all roughly the same Temps.

Both are great models to be honest, get whichever you can get for the best price.

I would go for the Asus Strix if it was me. But only if the price was the same.

so after choosing every part for my build " witch is for 1080p 75hz gaming "
the build is as following :

Ryzen 7 2700x " with stock cooler "
Asus ROG x470-F strix
Trident Z RGB 2x8 3200mhz
Adata SU800 500g.b SSD
Asus GTX 1080 Strix A-8G

And im thinking about getting the 1080ti witch if i will get i will have to get rid or the rgb ram and the ssd and add an extra 60$ and get EVGA's SC black edition 1080ti
will that be worth it ? .. i know its an overkill for 1080p but i want it to last atleast 5 years as i wont
be able to upgrade until then ... so is it worth it or should i just go with the 1080 non ti ?

I don't know of any games that utilize a GTX 1080 Ti 100% at 1920x1080p resolution.

But.. you still might get better performance with it compared to a GTX 1080. And yes the 1080 Ti will last longer than the 1080.

I guess sense you're going Ryzen with a 75Hz monitor I'll stop trying to talk you out of it.

My only point that I want to make clear is if you go with the GTX 1070 Ti (very similar performance to GTX 1080), you can have around $270 to put towards a better monitor. I'm not sure about 75Hz, but I know 60Hz is crap compared to 144Hz.

only if u are a graphics hungry guy then go for a 1080 TI , you would never reach 90 fps if you go 1080p 8x AA

let me explain why i cant get a better monitor
im getting all the pc components from the united states .. then i will travel back home to midle east where prices are doubled and tripled for no reason .. and i already got a monitor witch is 1080p 75hz and im really happy with it
i just want the pc to stand still untill im able to travel again to the u.s and upgrade with is most likely to not happen in the next 5 years .. so will the ti be a worth it investment if i wanna future proof ?

Yes I suppose it is the best option for future gaming.

But do be aware next-gen Nvidia GPUs are supposed to release this summer.

i have a question about temps
under the safe temp limit .. are all gpus the same ?
if a gpu is running at 78c witch is safe and no throttling is happening
and another one is running at 65c .. will both have the same life span ?
i think parts get damaged by heat anyways .. the lower the heat the longer it takes the damage to show up and break
your components .. so is my thoughts right or wrong ?
