Hi!

I just purchased asus gtx 1080 ti strix. Now my computer keeps loud coil whine noise when fps is 60 or more, but not as much when it is 60. I think it is still too much anyway. I did previously have asus gtx 980 strix and in the beginning it didn't keep any coil whine noise until recently before I sold it and it didn't keep as loud as my new gpu. Now I was thinking it may could have been caused by bad PSU which effects now to my new gpu as well? My PSU is Corsair RM750w. I know it is made up not so good components but I heard it after when I bought it.

So should I buy new better PSU like Corsair RMx series or some EVGA? I myself prefer more silence. Motherboard is asus maximus ranger vii if that matters in any mean. There is of course chance that it also could be PSU which make coil whine noise but to see that fps makes more impact to amount of noise I'm not sure.

Also sorry about my bad english and grammar mistakes. English is not my native language.

Keep in mind it may not be the PSU at all; I have had fan and coil whine issues with STRIX series cards myself (390X STRIX, 980Ti STRIX), but Asus is good about replacing a card with coil whine (at least they have been for me); so if you can confirm it is indeed the card after trying a new PSU get on that RMA ASAP so you can get that card replaced quickly.

Thank you for your answers. I probably rma it after the first wave of gpu demand goes off because here in Finland they just went sale so it might take little time to get new one.
