Asus GTX 580

Hi i just bought a graphic card Asus GTX 580 and my pc its Dell Precision T7400

Power supply its 1000W max so its ok with that but i dont have 8 pin so only one 6 pin..
and unintentional i plugged the 8 pin of motherboard on GTX 580 can u tellme if cards its destroyed ????

What power supply do you have? And no, your card is perfectly fine.

Hopefully they protected it against that, it is a common thing to do.

Card should have come with a dual 6-pin to 8 pin adapter. Did you buy it used?
