PSU: Corsair HX750
GPU: ASUS GTX 670

I do not have another system to test the card in, and I do not have another card to test. Other threads I found suggested changing the graphics setting is BIOS to PCI-E or PEG, which I have done. I have also tried switching slots on the board, and neither have helped. A thread on the GeForce forum had a fix relating to manually changing the device ID in INF setup files, however I cannot follow the steps taken in that fix because my GPU appears nowhere in my device manager, at least not under "Display Adapters" or "Other Devices". The GPU does have power (both leds for the 6 pin cables are on and the fans are spinning). Currently my monitor is connected to the mobo, as no signal is received when it is connected to the graphics card.

I guess I should also note that I discovered this issue after taking a nap. I left my computer running during that time, it was working fine beforehand, and when I came back I could not bring my monitors out of power saving mode. I then restarted the computer thinking it may have frozen or something, but when the monitors still weren't receiving a signal I switched the connection to the mobo and received signal. As far as I know the computer did not automatically restart or install any driver updates while I was asleep, as I have disabled Windows Update and all the Nvidia control panels from automatically installing updates.

Any help is appreciated. Pretty new to all of this in terms of troubleshooting/fixing hardware issues so if there is any info I have left out or that may help solve the issue I am happy to add it.

The question is how is that possible the mobo build in card is working while you have attached dedicated card, usually in that scenario you have to choose primary video card within the BIOS setup thus making the other card to be switched off. I say usually because i know there is a Lucid Virtu from quite some time thus that can make both cards to be used at the same time. When i wrote your mobo + Virtu into a google there are scores so it guess this can be the reason.
If you have that MOBO manual there is for sure a nice explanation how it works and how to switch it off , if thats the reason of the whole mess.
First of all I'd search for Virtu driver on the Asus web page and try to install it again... then read the mobo manual for some answers if that still not helps.

I had tried reseating the GPU last night, but did so for the heck of it again this morning. Still not receiving a signal. As for the driver, I cannot install the GPU driver from the GeForce website. I have downloaded the latest driver for my card, but when I run setup for it I get an error saying it could not detect any compatible hardware. Unless there is another method of manual driver installation that I am not aware of?

In response to Ra_V_en, I assume the Virtue driver you're referring to is for the mobo. So I should install the Virtue driver for the mobo then try to install the GPU driver?

EDIT: I have downloaded the latest Lucid Virtu driver from the ASUS support site, switched primary graphics in the BIOS to "IGFX", and enabled iGPU. However, when I try to run setup for the Lucid Virtu driver, I get an error: "No Intel(R) HD SandyBridge Graphics Family Device was found. Check your BIOS and verify that your integrated graphics is enabled." I went back to verify, and the changes were saved in the BIOS. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or what.

Yes, I am currently using onboard graphics for display. I did not have the latest BIOS version, I updated and went in and set primary graphics to IGFX and enabled iGPU just as before. Trying to install the Lucid Virtu driver still gives the same error.

In searching Google I have found people with somewhat similar problems but can not find anything that sounds like the same problem I had. Like I said, the card is roughly a year and a half old, and seems to have just stopped working spontaneously without a restart. I did work with all the software I had previously. What are the chances the card simply died, and how long is the average lifespan of a higher end (?) card like this one? I have kept my hardware relatively clean and dust free, have not spilled anything in it, and do not overclock currently so I don't see how overheating could have been an issue.

I uninstalled all Nvidia drivers I had, restarted the system, and still receive the same error message I cited a few posts ago when trying to install the new driver for the graphics card.

Also, I removed the card from slot 1, reset CMOS, then put card in slot 2. Still Isn't coming up in Device Manager. Should I be doing it the other way around by resetting CMOS after moving the card to slot 2?

as one last option m8 as i am also running out of ideas , turn off and unplug your pc , pull out the batery on the motherboard and wait for 10 secs or so then put the battery back in , this will clear the cmos and reset the bios to factory settings , this is not the same as resetting to factory settings in the bios.
make sure the two six pin power connectors are secure on your card and where you have them connected either molex or direct from psu
make sure card is seated correctly in pcie slot
power up pc , see if the fans on your card are spinning so you know the card is getting power
see if card shows up in device manager
if not have one last go at installing drivers,
If this does not work i would say you have a dead card

I will try resetting as you have described micky, but yes I have checked numerous times to make sure the card is seated correctly and is receiving power.

Kinda bummed that the card appears to be dead but thanks anyways to everyone who gave suggestions and tried to help. Luckily I checked and the card has a 3 year manufacturer's warranty so I should be able to RMA it.

Thanks again guys.
