I have dual asus gtx 760s and they perform great and all..... but whenever running a fairly demanding game or benchmark, I get a buzzing sound which I have discovered to surely be coil whine. I've tested the fans and they make literally zero sound at full speed. My question is if it's worth RMAing. People have told me this happens with all cards. Also the case I have now has an opening on the side for 2 120mm fans, so the sound is easier for me to hear. I'm going to be buying a new case regardless, which has no cutouts grills on the side of it. Do you think this will help reduce the noise I hear? Is there any brand of GPU that has no/little coil whine? Any other suggestions would be great. I did already RMA the cards once, and got back similar results :/

You would be lucky to get a RMA for coil whine. Some companies don't consider it a valid reason. I don't know about ASUS in particular but when I had issues with a gtx 560 ti 448 (from evga) it took 4 RMA's to get it right, and that was because they bumped me to a gtx 660 on my request. Long and short: Good luck, but seriously I wouldn't worry about it. Benchmarking stresses things far more than they would get stressed during regular gameplay/day to day.

Yeah, I have super sensitive hearing so I can pick it up. There is even the ever so faintest of buzzing even when on idle. If I put my ear right next to it I can pick it up. Also do you think this case will help prevent noise from escaping -Phantek's Enthoo Primo. I currently have the Rosewill challenger. Since I won't be RMAing them, is there any way to help keep the noise level down. I think the new case will help because it doesn't have the side panel cut out for fans. Sorry I'm ocd about this lol.

My ASUS 760 only coil whined when I had my old crappy 600W psu replace my RMA'd EVGA Supernova 1000WP2.
After I got my PSU back, it no longer whines.
You might be stressing out the PSU, or the GPU just might not like the way it sends power.
I'd just borrow a rather reliable PSU from a shop and test to see if that fixes your coil whine.
If it doesn't you could file for RMA at ASUS (I've never done so) but I'm not sure how lenient they are on their policies.
Seeing as they're one of the best manufacturers of computers and computer parts, I think they'll take it.

Aright, I'm currently running an extreme rosewill 850watt power supply. Would you suggest getting a new one? Also, what do you think of the new case. I've read online that it does a really good job with acoustics and should hopefully eliminate the sound of hear from it. I'm currently using a rosewill challenger and the GPU's are right next to a huge vent for 2 120mm fans :/

Rosewill makes good PSU's. Maybe you got a slightly bad one?
You can try for an EVGA or corsair model PSU, they make great ones.
My Supernova 1000P2 does the job right, perhaps they have a 850W model.

Honestly I've been reading the reviews on the case, and it doesnt seem ALL that great.
I'm using a CM Storm Trooper, and it's wonderful for anything.
It's even got a nifty handle for easy lifting.
Regardless, any case with a metallic shell all around will provide a rather good sound barrier (mine has a plastic window so not TOO soundproof)
Unless you're going to use most of those case's functions, I'd suggest something cheaper.

Yeah it is obviously over the top. But I love the look and finish, plus I wanted a really stealthed look. I will be liquid cooling soon as well, so I need a good case to do it with. And the reviews of the case I've read have been nothing but stellar to the 10nth degree lol. I'm going to try and find some other people's PSU to test with. I don't want to just flat out buy a whole new one. Thanks for the help
