ASUS GTX 760 OC Black screen after install

Hello, having a nightmare today! I've bought a Corsair CS650m psu which is working fine, installed the GTX 760 and I get no signal through my HDMI lead. I've looked in bios to change it to pci-e that didn't fix it, checked all the leads and have taken it out put old gpu back in same slot and that works (what im using now) I've repeated this process 6 times and have decided either card is DOA or the psu is not powerful enough. Could you guys help me out please?

I have tried connecting with just a 6+2 pin straight to psu and also used the adapter provided which is an 8 pin to 2x 6 pin both do not work.

My comp specs are:
AMD FX 6300 not overclocked
gigabyte 78lmt-usb motherboard
currently radeon VTX HD 7750 (i uninstalled the drivers and still no signal on other card)
3 standard case fans nothing more that's power hungry

After connecting 2 6-pins pcie connectors from your psu to your graphics card, do you see green light on you graphics card where the connectors are connected?
Have you tried bios update and cleared CMOS?

I'd suggest a bios update. I too, am having the same problems as you with the same card.
First things you can try is using another video port.
Secondly, are the fans running? Is there a green light on the GPU when power cables plugged into it?

Lastly, please try the following:

1. Go to Bios.

2. Go to Bios features.

3. Set "Other PCI Device ROM Priority" to "Legacy only"

4. Press "F10" to save and exit.

If these didn't work first, I'd suggest a bios update. I must warn you, do research a TON before updating, just to prevent failures like me 🙁

Hello, yes i get a green light and fans spin, the PC starts up fine I just have no display. I'm pretty reluctant to do a bios update as I've heard it's tricky and not recommended and as it's a new build it should be updated already. I haven't cleared CMOS and i will try the legacy only in bios today. Thnaks for speedy replies

there is nothing to worry about updating your bios, as long as you are doing it right. You have your motherboard manual, and everything is written on it. I don't think that most of the motherboards will be updated with latest bios, the time you receive them.
Other things you can check are:
Try the GPU in a different PCIe slot. Also, some monitors do not feature auto switching of input ports. If you are using a different input on the monitor make sure it is set to the right input otherwise you won't get a display.
