Asus GTX 770 not showing any video output

Hello, I built my first gaming computer recently and my video card, a MSI GTX 770 didn't work, but my computer worked when it was out, so I thought it was DOA and sent it back, and then waited a month or so for Newegg's customer service to mess up my replacement and make it a return, and then make me wait forever to order a new one as they messed up my refund as well.

I finally got my new card, it's Asus now, still 770, but again, it doesn't work. This one has two lights that go red when not plugged in and green when it's plugged in. When I install it, it's light's are all green, it's fans are all spinning, and the rest of the computer is booting up as normal. BUT no video output. I tried putting my HDMI cable into both the vcard's HDMI port and the MB's HDMI port, neither worked.

I really don't know what to do, I tried disabling the intergrated graphics, tried putting the card in different PCI-E ports, tried reseting the CMOS, I don't know what to do anymore. I've googled this problem for an entire day and got no answers that worked. At this point, I think it might be my motherboard, if so, I can't return it cause the damn company took forever to replace all my other stuff.

Yes I have the 8 and 6 pin connectors, connected. Yes I checked that it was in the slot properly. No I don't have another computer to test the card on. Yes I have tried it on both the top and bottom PCI-E slots, the middle one doesn't fit for some reason tho.

My specs:
MSI Z77a-G45 military class III Motherboard
Intel Core i7-3770 CPU 3.40ghz 8.00 MB
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB(8GB) DDR3 RAM
Asus GTX 770 2GB
750WATT ATX PSU
Windows 7 64x

Really stuck and don't know what to do anymore, I really hope someone out there can help me find a solution to this problem, thank you in advance.

Solution
The motherboard BIOS version can make a big difference.
BIOS version 2.8 lists "Improved PCI-E display card compatibility."
I would suggest installing the latest version (2.C) from this page:
http://au.msi.com/product/mb/Z77A-G45.html#/?div=BIOS
Do this without the card installed, then install the card and change the monitor connection to the card to try again.

The monitor cable should be connected to the card, not the motherboard.
If HDMI isn't working, can you try DVI?
Graphics card should be installed in the PCI-E x16 slot closest to the CPU, labelled PCI_E2.

Thank you both for your quick replies.

Here's the link to my power supply, it has a bronze rating: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3276567

I don't see anything wrong with it, I thought 750 would be more than enough for my build. Also, I can't update my BIOS at the moment, but I will try tomorrow and see if it works.

For this build you need a power supply with at least 434W available on the combined +12V rails.
A good quality 550W power supply would be enough.

The LSP750 is a no name power supply.
The quality is probably not good and I can't find any reviews for it for hardware sites.
This supply is not 80 plus rated, let alone 80 plus bronze.
They claim 78% efficiency, but this is not independently tested at all like an 80 plus certification would require.
If you were looking at this supply I would tell you not to buy it and instead go for something like the XFX Pro 550.

Saying that though, I don't think that is the problem.
Try the suggestions I made in my previous post.

That did it! Thank you all so much for your help, it finally works! After nearly 4 months of waiting, my computer is now complete and operational. Updating the BIOS made it work without issue. I hope anyone else having this problem finds this thread and doesn't have to go through months of bullcrap like me.

Thanks again.

Reinstall the drivers. I had the same problem
