Asus Gtx 960 (249€) vs Gigabyte R9 380 (255€)

XFX TS Series 550W 80 PLUS BRONZE
RAM 8GB DDR3 Gskill Ripjaws X CL9 1600 (2x4)

So, there´s the Asus Strix Gtx 960 4GB for 249€ and then there´s Gigabyte G1 R9 380 4GB for 255€.

Which GPU should I go for?
My parents are buying me the PC, so I am afraid that if I choose R9 380 the electricity bill will go high...

The 380 has the performance edge but the 960 power efficiency. Since your PSU can handle it I would go 380 which is 10%+ better on avg.

the r9 380 is the faster card so I would recommend it, and about the concern over the electricity bill, I would say its negligible at best.

Yep the bill would increase by about adding a table lamp with 60watt bulb.
Then again come to think about it why so many threads around this build?
