Hello everyone.. I have just bought an Asus GTX 980 Strix.. Although you can say I am a fanboy of Gigabyte.. I have an option to return the card for the Gigabyte version (Both cards have the same price in my country)

I am stuck in a storm since Wednesday and cant get to the retailer until tomorrow..

Is it really worth it that I get the Gigabyte brand for the slight edge of performance ??

-Also I did not like the Asus fans being completely off on Idle... 50c... and I keep my pc on most of the time ! Doesn't it decrease the life of the card !

Thank you for reading

Solution
The fan not starting untin 50-60C will decrease the life of the card.
I`m not sure what are the differences between the 980, but yesterday I got my G1 Gaming 970, and I see it better than the Strix or any other model.

The bigger clocks will give you a boost in power in a few years, and it will extend by a bit the time until you feel the need to upgrade.

BTW, I was playing BF4 at Ultra last night with Vsync on at 60FPS, and the temp was 41-42 degrees.
Sorry, but I prefer this rather than getting to 50 or 60 degrees for the fans to start spinning.
