I have an issue with the fans on this particular model, on top of your typical whooshing noise when the fans speed up (with any GPU card) there is an annoying revving noise, a different tone and noticeable, it is very annoying, I have RMA'd the exact same model of this card and a month later, the store where I bought it from was given a refund, I bought exactly the same model again, the revving noise is still there but a bit quieter, I don't want to RMA again as it takes for ever and it is obviously an issue with the fans on this particular model, is it possible for me to just replace the fans? as that seems to be the only issue with this card and the store won't refund due to the fact that they order them or something.

Hey bud, i have the exact same card, i put my finger in it and snapped a fan blade, so i too need to replace the fans. let me know if u come across any options

I have the same problem with my asus 1070,I am sure that I did nothing wrong with my card.but found one blade in the bottom of my case,tried to glue it back on no luck,asked asus norway about replasment part ,and got a negative answer this Kraken fans are you shure they will fit?I took my fan off the card no problem but the fan come in one piece including the foot of the fan that fasten it on the board,I did not check if I could release the fan from the foot any one tried that yet?

ended up taking the heatsink and fans from an old MSI 950. fits perfectly (with some over hang as it is all round bigger). fans operate as per normal and long story short its cooler in every situation. if you got an old card and the fans have the same pins/connection try swapping it over

i have a problem
this problem is that my fans keeping ramping up and down
the solution is that in the top right corner of GPU tweak you'll see there is o decibel mode with the original strix sign ,once you have located it you need to switch it of {making sure that it is not red}
now your fans should have no problem if a problem still persists than complain to asus
