[SOLVED] Asus H110M-K with I3-540?

Im planning on buying the mobo Asus H110M-K with a G.SKILL 8gb (2x4GB) DDR4-2133
But the problem is, I wont have the budget to replace my cpu which is the I3-540 so Im thinking if it will be okay to use this cpu for the new mobo and ram.
Also what cpu can fit the best with the mobo and the ram?

That CPU is several generations too old to be compatible with that motherboard. You need a 6xxx or 7xxx series CPU.

That motherboard wont work. A 6th or 7th gen intel cpu will work.

You could sell your old i3 to fund the new cpu. A pentium g4560 would work with bios update.

Won't work with DDR3 RAM from your old board.

You have to buy the CPU, the RAM, and the motherboard simultaneously since none of your CPU, RAM, or motherboard are individually compatible with recent generations.

You cant use your existing ram with that board. It wont boot without ram.

You would have to buy the cpu ram and motherboard all at once.

You were kind of unlucky there was a RAM generation change. If this were a few years ago and were updated to Ivy Bridge or something, you could've kept using the RAM!

My advice: it's best to save up a little longer and get something you'll be happier with for longer.

It should, but there is a small chance it may come with an incompatabe bios and not work. Also the a320 limits your uograde path and doesnt allownyou to overclock.

The b450 is worth the extra $5 to me

The thing is, it’s already sold out in the shop that I will go. So the last option will be this mobo gigabyte GA-B450M-S2H

I’ll only get 4gb for now. Maybe I’ll get another 4gb some other time.

87 euros. 95 euros for the other shops here in portugal. That’s why every time I buy pc parts, I try to look at all of the shops for the cheapest.

Yes that would work finw with a 1050ti.

If you can afford the 2200g, it will bump performance a lot. Otherwise, the 200ge is a pretty ok cpu.
