(Sorry if there is weird formatting, on my phone)

This is my second gaming build and I'm the type that doesn't OC. So I decided to go with a cheap motherboard(because of budget).

Asus H170 Pro Gaming combined with a gigabyte GTX 1070 and i5-6600k.

So I'm here to relieve myself of any doubt or to make a decision on a return.

Will there be any performance loss from the GPU and CPU? Combined with the H170

Gigabyte GTX 1070 has its own OC Mode, would the H170 be effected by that?.

The reason I bought the i5-6600k is because it was the same price as the 6600.

Don't worry you did fine. That setup should run great. Yeah you could overclock with that 6600k but it's a great cpu even if you don't. Overclocking the gpu is a completely separate thing so you are fine there as well.

FYI, in case you haven't received your 6600k yet, it doesn't come with a cooler. That's one potential reason it may have been better to buy a 6600 even if they were the same price (unless you already have a cooler).

But as said above, nothing wrong with your purchase, your rig will perform great.

@Jpe1701 Thanks, my doubts are gone. I'll keep the H170 and put all the shipping+$spending headaches to rest.

@Th Hooker CPU arrived today and just found out. I would have settled for a 6600 + stock fan. No biggie though, I won't mind spending an $30-40 for a decent cooling fan. Was planning to buy one in the future.

Thanks guys
