asus h170m plus cpu power connect

Hi guys i am going to buy a asus h170m plus mobo for a simple rig with the intel g4400 and i have a question .
my psu is 500watts with the normal 24pin and a 4pin for the cpu , now i saw the asus has a 8pin for the cpu so will it work with only 4 pin? or i have to buy a new one ?

Yes but will it work ok or i would have malfunction with the cpu power?

With that particular CPU your system should be fine with only the 4-pin connector. The 8-pin is only needed when you're using the higher end CPUs (e.g. Core i5 and i7).
