Hi guys, I got my hands on an Asus M51AC board with an I5 4430.
After reading online I flashed the common H87M-Pro bios via AMI Firmware Updater, since they are literally the same board . It works perfectly with the 4430 boots and get into bios no trouble at all. Problem is when I Install any of the Haswell Refresh chips. Tried 4690 4590 and a Pentium G3250 all known to work and tested on an H81M.
I tried downgrading to 2101 fron 2102. Do I have to flash an specific version of the bios for it to work? Or maybe run the said updater? Though it says is for "4th gen" which the 4430 is part of, but maybe they are refering to the Refresh, but is not specified. Any help provided would be amazing. Thanks

Can you specify what your specific problem is?

I solved it, it's now working with the 4690, 0 issues, and no I didn't flash the BIOS from another motherboard, it's a rebrand from Asus of the H87M-Pro for a prebuilt, they literally covered the eSata ports (covered, as they're still there under the IO Shield) and called it another motherboard, you can check for it online, I knew what I was doing.

Just in case someone has the same problem, you're just supposed to flash the H87M-Pro 2102 BIOS onto the M51AC using AMI Firmware Update, and using still a not refresh CPU (like a 4430) flash the BIOS again with the Asus Utility for 4th gen compatibility thing from the bios download site. After that you can turn off the computer swap the CPU for a Hashwell Refresh and it will work. Asus did something strange and it only updates CPU compatibility through the Windows Bios Updater.

If you don't have a pre Refresh CPU you're completely screwed, thankfully you can probably find a cheap I3 or Pentium (not sure since I don't know all SKUs) buy it for a few bucks and update it as I said. It should work perfectly just as mine.

For reference I followed this video to flash the 2102 onto the motherboard, I flashed the first release BIOS for the M51AC on first place, I don't know if it will flash correctly if not done this way

You can search online for the 0118 M51AC BIOS just in case you want to make sure to follow the exact steps I followed.
And on the ASUS H87M-Pro BIOS download page you download the BIOS Updater for 4th gen

Recap:
I flashed the 0118 for M51AC with the video method
I flashed 2102 for H87M-PRO with the video method
I flashed 2102 for H87M-PRO again in Windows with the BIOS updater

All with a pre refresh CPU as said, it only will work with the newer Refresh CPUs after all of this.

EDIT: If by any chance someone with a H87/Q87/Z87 from Asus comes to see this post and doesn't know how to make the board work for the newer chips, you just need to flash with the BIOS Updater for Windows the latest BIOS for your board, mine was way harder cause of the rebrand they did. I read that they all can have this problem, so there you go
