Hey guys, another thread by me :(
the new pieces of my pc have arrived today, I plugged everything and turned on the pc, it started to work and everything was loading fine, until I got the next message
Please run F1 to start setup, or something like that, now I'm pressing F1 but nothing is happening :( Could it be something that I plugged wrong or something? I'm so hyped to use it but I can't .(

The press F1 thing is normal, that is just a message to tell you what key to press to go into the BIOS.

There could be a lot of things that are wrong or you did wrong.

First of all: does anything beep? There could be coded beeps, you can look up in the manual what they mean.

Have you plugged in the CPU-fan and is it spinning?

Are the RAM sticks in the right slots? Sometimes when you have 1 stick of RAM you HAVE to put it in a certain DIMM-slot.

Oh and maybe you forgot the CPU power connector.

Nope, for some reason the keyboard wasn't detected, it was plugged, but it wasn't detected, so I used an old PS2 keyboard and bam, worked, now I'm reinstalling Windows because drivers for the old MOBO are installed, I'm guessing windows will boot normally and the computer will stop resetting everytime is about to load

Oh, the F1 was to run Windows setup, lol.

Well for a H97 board it's really weird that it wouldn't detect an USB keyboard... That's standard on all boards nowadays.

Make sure that port isn't fried, does your USB mouse work? Or have you tested any USB device on that port? (or any other port for that matter)

Try resetting the CMOS too.
