Hi all,

Putting together an upgraded build. Asus H97 Pro Gamer/i4-4590/16gigs DDR3-1600. Also adding a new 250gig Samsung EVO and 2 WD 1TB drives.

I have installed all the drivers from the ASUS website for this board; chipset, audio, NIC, etc. I even installed the garbage I know I wouldn't need, but is listed on the website. I still can't get this one unknown device to go away.

Any suggestions? I don't have a CD drive in this tower, so I couldn't use the ASUS cd that came with the motherboard. The only other devices I have in here are a wireless card and a wireless keyboard/mouse. They are installed and working fine.

Does ASUS have a detection program of sorts to see what this is, or is there a good program out there to properly identify this? Naturally, WIn 7 just gives me the very generic unknown device without a single clue.

Thanks in advance!

I will double check when I'm at home. I do remember seeing something about ACPI. I'm unfamiliar. What is that, and what direction should I take with it?

So I tracked this down to be an AMDA00 Interface that installed under system devices. The hardware ID was ACPI\PNP0A0A.

It wasn't anywhere in the motherboard drivers section on Asus' website. I found a link to it on some random forum. The driver did come off Asus' website under some generic utilities section. The driver is from 2013, so I hope I'm not missing an updated version (or if that even matters).

Very bizarre that Asus doesn't have this on their site when listing all drivers for a particular motherboard.

Yep, thank you! I managed to find this yesterday (magically) and it did the trick. Thanks for the response.
