asus hd 7770 2gb

step 1 - download MSI Afterburner & Kompresor.
step 2 - experiment.

the software is pretty self explanatory. increase clock speeds till it starts crashing one of the kompresor stress tests, then increase power. if it gets hotter then 90C you've probably overclocked it a bit too much (it won't happen, the 7770 is a cool running card, if you get it up over 70C i'll be surprised)

First, download the newest drivers from AMD ( http://support.amd.com/en-us/download )

Then download MSI Afterburner ( http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm ) and Furmark ( http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ )

Use afterburner to make changes to your clock speeds and furmark to test them.

Typically jumping 20Mhz at a time is fine. Most 7770's can hit 1140 - 1200 Mhz on the core and 1500 Mhz on the memory.

Adjust only one at a time ( Core or memory ) until you reach it's maximum stable speed, then drop it down 15 Mhz. Then turn up the other using the same process. I would test with furmark at your screens native resolution for 30 minutes before giving that speed a pass. Continue doing this until you have your maximum overclock speed. Once found, save it under one of Afterburners presets and you are done.

depends if his card is voltage locked or not. A voltage locked 7770 probably won't get far beyond 1100 core and 1200 memory... also depends on the quality of the heatsink... if it doesn't cool the ram and vrm he'll have issues getting a big overclock.

possibly. my voltage locked 7770 will get to 1250 core and 1300 ram... but it's not stable if the room is too warm. the cooler on the card does a terrible job keeping the ram and vrm cool. I keep the day to day clock at 1150 and 1200... seems rock solid there regardless of room temps.

nope. overclocks are random chance. my experience and anyone else's experience with them are not guaranteed to be your experience.

do what ish416 suggested you do to find your card's limits. he wrote up a pretty good quick and dirty guide to overclocking your card. follow his suggestions and see what happens.
