Hello, i have recently installed window's 10 and have only recently discovered a program called realtek HD Audio manager. I would like to have separate audio through speakers and headphones, but the realtek only allows me to hear audio through one audio source. is there a way to separate the two so i can have audio (music etc) and have Skype run through my headphones. this problem only occurred after installing windows 10.

Solution
You can send the audio from Skype to your headphones and keep the rest of the audio in your speakers. Right click on the Sound icon in the taskbar and select "Playback devices." Right click on your speakers in the list and click "Set as default device." Right click on your headphones and click "Set as default communications device."

If you want to play audio streams that do not involve a combination of a main audio stream and a communications audio stream, unfortunately Windows 10 does not have support for multiple audio streams to different speaker outputs. There are a few third-party applications that can provide this functionality.
