Asus hero VIII/Bios not working correclty

Whenever I try to get into the bios for my motherboard, I repeatedly press the delete key. However, instead of entering the bios right away, the computer will reboot, I then have to repeatedly press the delete key, THEN it will enter the bios. What's going on here? This is getting rather annoying.

Have you tried a different keyboard? Have you upgraded to the latest BIOS?

No and no.
I've read not to bother with updating the bios unless there's an issue that needs fixing. I'm done with overclocking so I really won't be needing to get into bios every couple of minutes. Couldn't get past 4.6GHz

This is a new chipset/socket, running new CPUs and new DRAM - BIOS updates are still coming out to get the bIOS compatible with DRAM, keyboards and other devices....the bit about not updating the BIOS went out a few years ago, there are just too many new components and component manufacturers out there popping out new stuff
