ASUS IV Formula Motherboard not detecting SATA 3 drives

Here are my components...

Corsair 550W Power Supply (CMPSU-550VX)
Asus Crosshair IV Formula 16GB DDR3 AMD Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Processor (HDT90ZFBGRBOX)
Cooler Master 690 II Advanced Black With Side Panel Window ATX Mid Tower Computer Case (RC-692-KWN2)
Corsair 16gb DDR3 1333MHz Desktop Memory (CMV4GX3M1A1333C9)
Palit GeForce GTX460 Sonic 2GB 2048MB GDDR5 NVidia PCI E Graphics Card
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB SATA Desktop Hard drive (ST31000524AS)

Hard drive and DVD drive connected to SATA 3 and SATA 4 ports(red)

BIOS is showing "Not detected". BIOS version is 1902.

However if I connect harddrive to black port(3gb/s), BIOS will detect it.

Any suggestions will be appeciated. I hope there are no issues with motherboard.

Check to see if the red ports are for sata 6.0 gigs and if they are it should show in your manual. 3.0 gig drives won't work in sata 6.0 gig ports. There would be nothing wrong with your motherboard. You would need 6.0 gig sata drives to use the red ports.

The harddrive is 6Gb/sec. Addition to this, I have inserted 4-port PCI Sata-2 card in one of the PCI slot. BIOS nor win 7 OS is recogniing the PCI card.
Pls note I have connected HardDrive to Black Onboard Sata-2 port and installed Win7 OS via USB DVD drive,

IS 550Wats Power supply is sufficient for the above configuration?
