I know my Asus K53 SM Machine dont support more than 8 GB but i want to upgrade it 12 GB as many user on internet says that its working fine so i want to take a chance..
Now the problem is
crucial scan tell me to purchase -

Crucial 4GB 1600MHz DDR3L 204-Pin Laptop Memory (CT51264BF160B)

and i find same specification on cheaper RAM on Kingston and its giving 8GB of RAM at the almost same price of crucial 4RAM .. heres the product -

Kingston 8GB PC3L 1600MHz Laptop RAM (KVR16LS118)

[ pdf- https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71p6qBtkuWS.pdf ]

Now when i see CPU Z for my current stock RAM it shows 1.5 V but both RAM specification shows 1.35 V

thats the only thing i am afraid to purchase any of it...

i attaching screenshot of CPU Z -

if not kingston then which one should i choose? pls recommend.
however if ddr3L support both 1.35 and 1.5 then i will sure buy kingston one.

Solution
slot 1 = 1.5 V 4GB DDR3 RAM

Slot 2 = EMPTY

and i want to fill it with Kingston 8GB PC3L 1600MHz Laptop RAM
Okay, so technically it should work, but there's some caveats.

The Kingston valueram line is a bit less compatible with systems and other modules, so it may not play well with the existing 4GB.

The other caveat is that the Kingston 1.35v ram will need to run at 1.5v, which it is designed to do, but for whatever reason if it doesn't that's another potential problem.

Another thread with someone trying to upgrade the same machine as you:

Being only a slightly older machine, I think you'll be fine with the 8GB.
i wanna know if i can put 1.35 V RAM DDR3L in my laptop or it must be 1.5V ie DDR3?
i am thinking to buy Kingston 8GB PC3L 1600MHz Laptop RAM (KVR16LS118) .. will it support?

4GB or 8GB doesnt matter as many asus k53 sm user says it working but i am not sure what brand they purchased..
