ASUS Laptop Boots to BIOS

Ok so I have a ASUS Laptop that boots only to the BIOS. The user was complaining of pop-ups and then being unable to boot into Windows just the BIOS.
I was looking at a related post and it talks of hard drive problem. When I look at SATA Configuration in the BIOS it says Serial ATA Port 0 but doesn't recognize a HD. Also under Boot the only option is Delete Boot Option. Boot Configuration, Driver Boot Priorities and Boot Option Priorities are all unavailable. It boots from my USB that has Windows 7 on it though. When I go to reset in it it says the drive is locked. I need to recover the data if possible

Check HDD on bad blocks, something wrong with boot sector it seems.

Also when I go to install Windows it doesn't recognize a drive

Cant run chkdsk cause it says the volume is write protected

Now its not booting into the BIOS anymore after I tried to run chkdsk. Instead it keeps booting into a screen that says Recovery. Your PC/Device needs to be repaired

The Boot Configuration Data file doesn't contain valid information for an operating system

Remove HDD and check it on PC

Cant open as its under warranty

Its back to booting into the BIOS now

Without my USB in it boots into the BIOS with it in it shows the recovery message
