I have Asus K52JE which was having a no-light problem when removing the charging cord.
As long as the AC adapter supplies power to the laptop, everything goes well.
When on the battery power and turned on, it starts with enough light but went dark right after the window logo and at soon as the charging cord is connected into it, the display become brighten again.
It was that problem which makes me flash the BIOS ; but it went wrong when flashing an old version of the BIOS (process didn't go to the end).
I end up with no display because of corrupted BIOS.
I NEED YOUR HELP TO FIND THE WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM.

THANKS.

Solution
1way. Get/buy USB programmer +correct bios file; desolder bios chip; flash bios; solder bios chip back.
2way. Use service center.
Thank you, Romirez for your answer.
I have thought about it. But one thing I could not recognize on the motherboard, is the BIOS chip.
I have tried to find the Asus k52je schematic on Google search but didn't get any correct result.
Do you have any idea?

8 pin chip with first symbols usualy 25...

8 pin chip : I am aware of that.
With first symbols usualy 25... : I don't understand!.

8 pin chip, I have counted 17 on the motherboard.
I have suspected one among the 17 chips, which compared to other is square.
The inscription written on it, is : SST25VF032B ; 66-4I-S2AF ; 1021087-B.
I have searched on Google about that chip, but they don't tell whether this is a bios chip.

Romirez, thanks again for your help.

most newer pc and laptop have a bios recovery built into the bios. start off with downloading and unzipping the last bios file. put it on a usb stick in the root of the drive not in a folder. plug the stick in and turn the laptop on. if the bios can get into the recovery mode it may take 20-40 minutes. you may see a small message to hit any key to start bios recovery. also when doing this try using a monitor too see if the system board is fine but the panel went bad. if that wont work see if the laptop uses ami or award bios chips. then google ami or amd and the words bios recovery. there are keys and boot disk to help recover bad bios flashes. also check to see if asus on your laptop put in the usb flashback port like they did for some of there full size mb.

Thank so much for your helps, Romirez ( * * * * * ) and Smorisio ( * * * * ). I now have ways for the solution of my problem.
God bless you
